In Chatham County North Carolina, the history of the county comprised the Hortons and the Haughtons since the 1700's. I found it interesting that Shakespeare spent his adolesence in Lancashire with the Houghtons at Houghton tower. My ancestors, the Hortons were probaby close associations with the Houghtons ever since Norman times. So influcences could have existed between both families since these earlier English historical times. Geoerge Moses Horton of Chatham county in the 1800's used to give theatrical presentations of his poems in Chapel Hill to the University students of that time. No different in a lot of ways of William Shakespeare at the Globe, theatrically delivering the lines of the plays to the audience. Was George Moses Horton, his nature and character, in these artistic eras influenced by Shakespeare. That is an influence handed down through the Horton and Houghton lines and descendents, or that group of descendents that made their way to Chatham County in the 1700's? That is an interesting question. On the web site Buzzle.com , Arts and Literature Forum aan message boards, categories 1-3, particlualrly dealing with the subjects of Shakespeare, The Creative Imagination and English Teacher's Top Five, I listed more information along these lines. It is worth checking out as well as the 'Horton Family Historoy html. Maggie Shrull' web site. The web station: "Amazing Bits of Houghton History" carry additional information on Shakespeare's adopted family in the 1570's. The Haughton name (variation of Houghton) was the Chatham County family descendents most likely , along with the Hortons. The Uhwarrie mountain range, the oldest mountains in the world, grace the western part of Chatham County and adjoining county regions. This was the backdrop of the Chatham Haughton and Horton history, in part, similar to the mountainous scenes, of Northern England's counties found in Shakespeare's plays. The scenery that served as the backdrop in a lot of his plays; the author had an intimate knowledge of these northern mountain English counties. Even at one time the North Carolina Appalaichins and the English mountain ranges were part of the same chain in past geological history. When the continents sepearted, both chains became seperate and distinct in some ways but yet carried the same origins and features of those origins in past geo historical times. The Uhwarries were contigous and most likely had an ancient Enlgich heritage in their history also, perhaps since they are closely allied with the Appalaichians, in topographical proximity.

The north part of England, that is inhabited by the moors and the hilly terrains, even mountainous geography for that matter, such scenes could be found in a lot of Shakespeare's works. Macbeth, with the Scottish hills and mountains and Henry VI, are just two examples of scenery of England's north Country. And the author of the works of Shakepseare's plays had an intimate knowledge of these north England locales. If one checked the wikipedia site, Appalachian mountains, one would find references of the Appalachian chain to Scotland and other locales. Within the article, there is a further wikipedia refernce, to the ancient land mass of Panagea. Tha Appalachians and Scottish mountains were one mountain chain on this land mass. Panagea broke up eventually into two land areas Gondawana and Laurentia. The lost civilization of Atlantis supposedly inhabited gondawana. ANd checking out Wikipedia's entry Atalantis --one finds more information on Atalnatis. A quote from this article goes as follows: "Atlantis is the name of the legendary island first mentioned in Plato's Dialogues Timaeus adn Critias" End of quote. What is interesting is the Appalachian chain in North Carolina was not only a part of the Scottish mountains of the north of U.K., as well as most likely splinter chains extending down into England, but this same mountain chain extended into Morrocco, forming the Anti-Atlas chain. According to the Eckankar literature, the Eck Master is born in either mountainous regions or on a body of water. Supposely there were Eck Masters present in Plato's time in Greece. An Eck master in England during Elizabeth's reign, and even an Eck Master on the ATlantis Continent of ancient time, could have been the case. These Eck Master's played a major role in developing the creative works of the times. What is interesting today, what remains is the Chatham County poet, George Moses Horton, from the 1800's, who travelled to Chapel Hill to deliver his poems to the students and people of the town. The Uhwarries, a splinter mountain range, extends its long worn down hills into Chapel Hill and Northern Chatham County. It is somewhat interesting that Macbeth, Henry VI along with other Shakesperian works are set in and around the moors and mountain terrain of the northern points of the United Kingdom. Othello the Moor, the Prince of Morrocco, is set in and around the same mountain chain as Macbeth and Henry VI, as well as the Appalachians. That is the Morrocco Anti - Atlas mountain chain that once bridged the Appalachians and England's mountainous north, around the Jurassic Period. And the Haughton and Horton legacy took up in the same mountain chain in central North carolina, this N.C. region related to in ancient times to the proximate regions, that the Houghtons and Hortons originally travelled from in Yorkshire in the 1630's; that is travels that took place to Massachusetts. And the poet George Moses Horton wrote and performed his poems within this chain of ancient mountains that today are barely discernible hills for the most part. The Asheville N.C. author from the Appalachians, Thomas Wolfe, lived in Chapel Hill also in the 20th century, Winston Salem's O Henry, and Chatham's John Owen, essayist and WHig political leader of the early 1830's, lived in central N.C.

I like posting unusual facts on various topics, certain subjects and phenomena that one may not know what to make of, just for that sake of that reason, becuause scholars and other writers tend to by pass such areas and move on to more definite themes and subjects. What is interesting about the previous two commentaries is more information on the Uhwarries whose hills are proximate to Northern Moore County and southwestern Chatham County N.C. The towns of Carthage and Robbins are found in northern Moore county. But anyway, the A lot of Shakespearian works involve fairies, wood nymphs and supernatural phenomena---these facts found most notably in the play 'A Midsummer's Night Dream', but other works as The Tempest and other Shakesperian plays likewise carry such supernatural phenomena. The Uhwarries that could be connected to the Scottish hills and hilly regions of northern England, where a good deal of Shakespere's works take place, also is known for supernatural fairy like creatures, and supernatural phenomena, characteristics that are found in Shakespeare's plays. The following Uhwarrie information comes from the internet:"Fred T. Morgan, the master of Uhwarrie folkore, Uhwarrie Bizzares will convinve you that there are more than just natural wonders in North America's oldest mountains. Morgan has once again uncovered uniquely colorful, oddball, bohemian, mystic or just plain errie characters." This quote from a web station found under google search- Uhwarrie- might as well apply to A Midsummer's Night Dream's characters. Fred T. Morgan wrote the following works: "Ghost Tales of the Uhwarries", "Haunted Uhwarries" and "The Revolt and 28 more original Uhwarrie Ghost Stories". These stories relate more information on the folklore of the Uhwarries. Backpacker Magazine, a web site found under Uhwarrie title carried additional info---The ancient Uhwarries have baffled geologists, but hikers know a good thing when....To borrow from Winston Churchill, the Uhwarries of North Carolina are an enigma wrapped in a mystery... a quote to something of that effect. One additionally can find on the internet, "The Devil's Tramping Ground", of Southwest Chatham County. One of the many folklore spots of the eastern stretches of the Uhwarries, concerning a creature one may find in a Shakesperian work. But in any case, the origins of A Mid summer Night's Dream, the inspiration of its writing, an issue that could be further answered by the above features of the Uhwarries that connected to Northern Engalnd and Scotland, that contained fairies and the like as the Uhwarries did also. A connection in ancient geo historical time.

The historical backdrop of the Uhwarrries in Chatham County and northern Mooroe County carry some interesting historical data, that has a Shakesperian flavor to it in a happenstance and odd way. The northern Moore county towns of Robbins and Carthage, lie about fifteen miles south of the Devil's Tramping Ground in southwestern Chatham County. Seagrove, to the west of these locales in Randolph county is known as a pottery making mecca of the Uhwarries, where some of N.C.'s famous pottery is made. In a Midsummer's Night Dream, the supernatural creatures were divided into two groups--fairies and mechanicals, the latter that plied a trade of different sorts. In fact there is web site "A Mdisuumer's Night Dream" That carries the following information : "Hempen Homespuns" and "rude Mechanicals", that are terms for this group of fairie creatures that are involved in trades. Its sort of wierd that the town of Robbin's former historical names, before it took on its present name, was known as, "Mechanicsville" and "Hemphill". The Kennedy Rifle, a nineteenth century rifle was made there and in southwestern Chatham County-(where the John Kennedy Rifle was manufactured --in Chatham--by this rifle making operation that was the largest in the southeast during the early 1800's). So trades were active in Chatham and northern Moore in the late 1700's and early 1800's, an area that already was famous for a woodland creature, indigenous to The Devil's Tramping Ground. In fact the president who succeeded Abraham Lincoln, Andrew Johnson, worked as a teenager, in the clothing business in Carthage, before running away to Tennessee, where his political career began. He was known as the "Runaway Apprentice", because of his brief six month stint making suits in Carthage. In fact while president, he even made suits for his cabinet members, while having to deal with impeachment matters. A trade that he kept from these earlier days in Carthage in northern Moore County, that he took to Washington in his later years. What is even more interesting, this six month stay, as a "mechanical of sorts" in Carthage, historians have indicated was his only formal training in education. The only amount of education he ever received. No college, or law schools or the like or formal degrees, Johnson ever achieved. He also succeeded Abraham Lincoln who had no formal education, at least in his high school youth--he learned to read by scratching writing and arithmetic on shovels and other crude items in the absence of any wiriting materials. So these two presidents were similar in this regards, though Johnson's environment of education carried this Uhwarrie flavor to it. James Polk lived in Chapel Hill as he followed Andrew Jackson who once had a law office in Greensboro, fifteen miles north of Chatham--two other presidents that came from this area also. So the history of Chtham and surrounding counties not only carried influences from the Shakesperian times and locales in England, but developed its own distinct American heritage also. Greensboro was also known for Dolly Madison's original family's hometown. The Halifax N.C. native Phillip Alston, builder of the the House in The Horseshoe, lived in this northern Mooore locale. Halifax Congress, declared N.C. as the first operating colony under its own laws in the spring of 1776. Such are some interesting historical facts of this Uhwarrie area. Also Florida is above water today thanks to the Uhwarrie range, that created the penisula, that created the Gulf of Mexicao essentially.

Further background historical facts involving Chatham County, home of George Moses Horton and the Haughton Horton heritage. In a midsummer's Night Dream Hempen Homespuns was a phrase used in relation to the rude mechanical group of fairies. Its interesting the word Hempen, is defined from The Free Dicitonary Farlex, as: having or resembling fibers especially making cordage such as those of jute. Also (2) tough- resistant to cutting or chewing. Hemphill, as described above in a previous commentary, got its name as a U.S. Naval manufacturing operation for producing rope for the U.S. Navy in the nineteenth Century, even possibly earlier. The Kennedy Rifle was also manufactured there, in Hemphill (probably then known as Mechanicsville). U.S. Navy operations and relations were prominent to varying degrees in central N.C.history. In fact rumored, William Graham, Secretary of U.S. Navy August 2, 1850-July 25, 1852. owned land in the chatham County town of Pittsboro, or nust north thereof, making Orange County's Graham an official resident depending upon how valid the claim is.(Pittsboro is where John Owens, whig leader was buried, and potential vice presidential candidate to W.H.Harrison). THe John Kennedy Rifle, an extension of Hemphill's rifle operations were made south of Pittsboro in southwest Chatham. Furthermore, after Graham left office as secretary, John Kennedy of Maryland succeeded him as Secreatary Of Navy. Following Kennedy, N.C. native of central N.C.(Cumberland county if I recall correctly), James Dobbins became U.S. NavySecretary. In the twentieth century Orange County Josephus Daniels was a third N.C. Secretary of Navy. And before W. Graham of the 1850's, John Branch and George Badger were North Carolina citizens who became Secretary of the U.S. Navy. William Graham created the Naval Academy at Annanapolis and was credited for upgrading the U.S, Navy at a vital period in U.S. history. So U.S. Navy prominent facts figure into the rest of cenrtral N.C. history as listed in the above commentaries. The Graham and Winfield Scott presidential ticket of 1852, which both men lost, signaled the end of the Whig party in U.S. politics. And Graham joined John Owen of Pittsboro as another close contender but not good enough candidate for a shot at the presidency. In Shakespeare's time, right at the point if I recall his first works begin to appear, 1589, or a few years give or take on the other side of this date, the Spanish Armada occured heralding the initiation of English Naval Supremacy. A subsantial involvement of English naval enterprise existed at such point well into the nineteenth century and to some still potent extent into the twentieth century. THis close correlation between Shakepseare's works coming out into the public and the Spanish Armada's occurence is an interesting fact that has not been explored very accurately. In fact in the 1700's and 1800's the English Chatham Shipyards were prominent for shipbuilding, and a good deal of the above history occurs within and around Chatham County N.C. Chatham, names shared by both country's for Naval exploits.

Further thoughts along the themes presented above in the previous commentary, is the fact that three major events occured around 1588-1590, give or take a couple or so years on the other side of these dates. Shakespeare's works begin appearing to the public during this time. England makes official contact with India in 1590. The Spanish Armada occurs in 1588. The Spanish Armada is known primarily for two major facts. Englsih Naval Supremacy has always been noted to begin at this 1588, defeat of the Spanish. Secondly, the Spanish fleet went down in a gale in 1588. The wind blew the fleet away. Shakespeare also relied heavily on storms at seas or storms in general in his works: that is the wind. Pericles Prince of Tyre, whose character Dionysia, was a play which storms and tempests played a mjor part in relating emotional states of their characters. The Tempest, a second play, by Shakespeare, is built around a tempest or hurricane at sea. But also, the Spansish Armada gales force storm has also been noted to be "The PRotestant WInd" because this storm hearlded the victory of Elizabeth's protestant navy and with it religious philosophy inudating England at the time. The Protestant WInd is interesting because it appears to be a subsequential historical counterpart of the Pentacostal Wind of Jesus Christ's time. The following web site "The Pentecostal Wind and Fire No. 1619" add in the bibical passage Acts 2:2-4, if one wants, and this web info will relate more information on the WInd that occured, if I have my facts right following Jesus' death at the hands of the Romans. Major religious turnings in the history of human kind are inaugurated by wind. One in Judea, with Christanity finalized at the crucifixion. And 1588 years later, the Protestant Wind, initiating the military prowess for the continuation of the Protestant faith and philosophy. ANd SHakespeare's works begin to appear in the middle of these events with the English Navy's Spanish Armada victory and the India contact of 1590. The Mayflower, was even an India commerce vessel, before the ship sailed from Southampton to Plymouth 1620-1621. The Pilgrims and the beginnings of the New England phase of American History occured with this event. Such, above are interesting facts of history surrounding Shakespeare's appearance, that is of his works, in Elizabethan England.

Further thoughts on Chatham County's involvement with marine and naval endeavors. James Waddell, took a crew, possibly comprised of Pittsboro N.C. natives, to a varying degree, and filled the confederate Cruiser Shenadoah for PAcific exploits during the Civil War. Waddell's cruiser raided Yankee ships in the Whaling Industry, and was so successful, that the citizens of SanFrancisco read about his exploits in the San Francisco Chronicle. Supposedly the Confederate Cruiser shot the last volley of hostility of the Civil War in the Seas off Russia. But unfortuanately, Waddell continued to destroy Yankee shipping in the post war weeks, thus earning him a title of a 'pirate' and 'criminal', with hanging waiting for him if he were caught by U.S. authorities. He managed to sail the Shenandoah to Liverpool, where he was granted some sort of diplomatic amnesty. And in the months subsequent to that event, evidently worked out a plea deal, where the charges were for the most part dropped. He then returned to the U.S. and worked in the Maryland Fisheries in the post Civil War years. The possibility that Pittsboro members that sailed on the Shenandoah during the war years took home a lot of naval experince, particularly in Artic conditions. In the 1890's Matthew Henson, was rumored to have lived in Pittsboro for several years, possibly to learn from these 'shenandoah former cruise members', any facts or training on how to handle ships in the artic. That fact is highly sketchy ,though but probable to somewhat of a degree.. Matthew Henson was on the first expedition into the artic, where the North Pole was discovered under Peary, in the first decade of the twentieth century. Both Henson and Peary made the final 60 mile trek to the Pole's discovery, both alone, leaving some ambiguity on how and who actually made the discovery of the North Pole. Henson very well could have been the one who made the discovery. A blizzard sacked in the fatigued and weary exploration party at the final sixty mile mark. And the decision to leave the rest of the exploration party behind, under these hostile inclimate conditions, was the resaon Peary and Henson made the final trek. Furthermore, a member of the Pittsboro citizenry, a London, in 1865, delivered the final orders at Appamatox, commencing confederate surrender to the Union. This London family could have had ancestors involved in the Shakespearian endeavors in Elizabeth's time, to a vary ing degree, but that information, isn't solid or confirmed.

The naval history of Chatham and Moore COunty is rather fascinating in that this central North Carolina Geographical area is inland, away from the sea. However, the history has a lot to do with the ocean and the people of Shakespeare's time. For example, the London family, intermarried with the Haughton family back in the 19th centruy. Haughton being a variation of Houghton, and the Houghtons of Lancashire had William Shakespeare as resident while Shakespeare was an adolescent. The Houghton library was well known to be extensive, and this fact could have given Shakespeare an opportunity to greatly advance his eduaction in theatre, poetry, literature and philosophy on hi own terms. A fact that some scholars seem to have overlooked. But in refernce to Chatham and Moore counties, the Hemphill U.S. Navy rope making operation has some religious significance to it. A passage from a religious text goes as follows from India when dealing with rope. "When the gods churned the ocean they made use of Sesha as a great rope, which they twisted round the mountain Mandars, and so used it as a churn...He is also called Ananta,'the endless' as the symbol of eternity."ENd of quote. Shakespeare's sonnet 60 seems to capture the very essence of this above paragraph in that sonnet's opening lines: "Like as the waves make towards the pebbled shore, so do our minutes hasten to their end; each changing place with that which goes before, In sequent toli all forwards do contend." The eternity of the churning waves are recounted in these lines. The minutes hastening to their ends gives the lines a feeling of eternity, and churning waves are what they are, much like the rope of Sesha in the above paragraph. Furthermore, in Eckankar, the wind has always been associated with God as the Christian version has noted at Pentacost. And English Naval Power from 1588, has incorporated the wind, as the energy source for its maintenance down through the cenuries susequent from the Spanish Armada event of 1588. So in regards to Chatham County, wind, sails, and rope, were very much a part of its history. In terms of naval exploits and phenomena and the London (a Haughton relation, thus a Houghton) who delivered surrender papers at Appamatox was a blood descendent perhaps of the Houghtons of Lancashire. Such Houghtons gave Shakespeare residence in his later youth.

More facts on the Haughton and Horton relationship of both Chatham County and England. When Shakespeare went to Lancashire, in his adolesence, he entered an environment of theatre and literary endeavors at the Catholic Houghtons. One of the most interesting observations by the author Harold Bloom upon Shakespeare's women, were they married beneath their class and asked for more trouble than they could deal with at times. There has been a history of marriages clashing with social class in the Horton history of England. In any case the following web sites relate more information of the Haughtons of Chatham COunty. And Hortons of England, and their line's involvement of marriage clash with the English social class environments."Archaeological Data Recovery at the Lockville Historic Complex"- Steamer John M. A brother marries into a family, and I believe, if I have my facts right, A horton sister marries into the same family, marries a male. The male is the brother of the sister who married the original Horton, WIlliam Horton, I believe. The Gledhill family was family the Hortons married into, possibly. Is WIlliam Horton of this marriage, the fair youth of Shakespeare's sonnets? No factual evidence to support it. But in real life they sure were involved in the themes that cropped up in Shakespeare's plays, themes of marriages of class and the like--The Taming of The Shrew for example.WIth Hortensia, as a character of that play. From the above aforementioned Royal Marriage Act of 1772-wikipedia article" Evidently Anne Horton and Mrs. Haughton were names used by the woman< href="http://www.topix.com/forum/city/raleigh-nc" t="post-geoip">Raleigh, NC

An interesting issue in Chatham County N.C.'s history is determining how may families may have been associated with significant Elizabethan individuals that were involved with the writing and creation of Shakespeare and other authors. The Haughton and Horton lines could very well have ancestors that participated with the situations in England in the 1500's-1600's, that produced these literary works. How many other family lines from Chatham that would be associated with the English Elizabethan times, would be an interesting issue to clarify in some future historical research endeavor. In any case, the following websites relate more background information on Chatham County. Including a theatre outdoor drama production from the town Snow Camp, the drama's title: "Sword of Peace" Snow Camp is across the Chatham County line into neighboring Alamance County, in the northwest area of Chatham COunty. The following web sites:"Snow Camp Outdoor Theatre-Home" "Sword of Peace Cast" The British General Cornwallis camped in a clearing in southern Alamance County on a December night, in the late 1700's during the Revolutionary War Conflict. It snowed that night, and the camp took on the name Snow Camp from that snowfalll event. Christmas Eve could very well have been the evening the snowfall happened on. In terms of Eckankar sppiritual principles showing up in the works of Shakespeare, the following monlogue from Richard III, Scene IV, is comprised of the spiritual journey of the soul, or that is soul travel. In the Eckankar work, Tigers Fang by Paul Twitchell, the part where Rebezar Tarz and Paul Twitchell cross over into the Soul Pane is described in the book. In RIchard III and the above monologue the same phenomenon occurs also. The excerpt goes as:Clarence: "As we paced along upon the giddy footing of the hatches, Methought that Gloucester stumbled, and in falling Struck me, that thought to stay him, overboard into the tumbling billows of the main....No,no my dream was lengthened after life. O then began the tempest to my soul! I pass'd methought, the melancholy flood with that sour ferryman which poets write of, unto the kingdom of perpetual night. The first that there did greet my stranger soul...Then came wandering by a shadow like an angel, with bright hair dabbled in blood, and he shrieked out aloud 'Clarence is come ---false fleeting, perjured Clarence, THat stabbed me in the field of Tewkesbury. Seize on him furies, take him unto torment!" End of quote. The above quoted excerpt from Richard III is a fine full example of Eckankar soul travel. And also reveals most likely the presence of the Eck Master in Elizabethan times. Even the allusion to Furies carries with it the Grecian Eck Master's presence of earlier historical antiquity, at such earlier time influenced the cultural accomplishments of that period. The karma laden deed of murder, restricts passage of Clarence into the heavenly realms of non negative light--the God plane of Soul Plane, the fifth plane,--- with its quintessence character, that is--and returns Clarence's soul to the lower worlds for burning off further karma, as such the spiritual duty of each human soul. THese Eckankar principles are all well embodied in the above Clarence monologue from Richard III.

One sort of subtle interesting feature about the previous posts concern of Clarence's monologue. And that is the Eckankar soul travel phenomena is indigenous to the monologue's passage. The monologue starts out with the imagery and events of being on a ship."As we paced along upon the giddy footing of the hatches.." Naval ships and naval travel become associated with soul travel. ANd thridly, the image portrayed in the passage dealing with the sour ferryman, deals with travel in a boat through the blackest depths of darkness, as one soul travels to the other side, the soul plane that is. The three way phenomena of naval ships, soul travel and the ferryman's skiff, all appear tied together and seemingly representative of each other. Viking naval travel since the 700's eventually molds the world for the few hundreds of years at that time. Iceland, the state of Kiev, the Norman state, with its naval prowess that during the Norman invasion supplied a further development of the English language with French terms, all seem to have spiritual undercurrents to it. And eventually in 1588, English naval power positions England in this developing supreme military presence in the world. Also ENgland made contact with India for the first time in 1590. THe northern TIbetan territories is the traditional home for Ecknakar at Katspuri? monastary. And the Worlds Eck Master at the time was English. THe leader of this Tibetan religion, Eckankar. SOme are some additional interesting facts of this era.

THe following web site: "Heimskringla THe CHronicle of the Kings of Norway by Snorri Sturlson (c.1179-1241)" These chapters detail the poetry, song and lyrical lamentations at times of the Viking artists and Viking military expeditions. Expeditions that at least dated back to the 700's. Images of these ships maybe two or three times the size of a large rowboat, with demonic godlike animal carvings springing from the curved stern of the ships, and the men that rowed them through frightful seas, placid fjord waters, with mountainsides sharp and towering, jutting upwards from the glacial earth of the Scandanavian regions., mists that overhang the dales and deep green forest and the like. All of these features coupled with this forlorn emotional states of being of months on the seas, of these warriors, as these ships pierced continually one uncharted territoty after another, all of this activity could be the very beginning spiritual activity that later would create the environments in England for the Eck Master. An early spiritual current of VIking activity say as far back as the late 700's is activity that later will connect, influence and create the minstrel environments of Cheshire, Lancashire, Yorkshire and eventually in the 1500's the Acting troupe environemnts of London for Shakespeare's plays to occur. Simply because these poetical sagas are creations of song and theatrics from the Vikings as listed in the above Heimskringla. Later around 1216, the military part of the warrior becomes separated from the artistic individual leaving only the roving minstrelwho was the one remaining with his song and poetry. And as such to create the atristic environments of north England from roughly the 1200's up through the 1500s and even further. These Vikings exploits of these earlier medieval years also shaped the world, its map of nations, customs, and ENglish language and its concepts, that persist even to today.

Correction of the above post--meant to say "bow" as opposed to "stern." Or more simply put the front of the ship. VIking ships had curved upward coiling like "poles",(for want of a better word though a technical term is out there somehere) or architectural features like a curved pole of sorts, that seemed to glance the sky as the ship in their steady movements sailed across the waters. God like demonic beings were sculpted on the bows of some of the ships.

A potential fascinating fact about Viking naval expeditions in the early middle ages is that the warriors were comprised of criminal, alcoholic or mentally ill people who sailed in the ships. Inother words misfits that could not function adequately in society. A substantial reservoir of negative psychic energy constituted the collective mentalities of these Viking norsemen. Nietzche stated, that all evil is nothing more than energy in need of transformation. And if there were all this negative energy within the Viking mentality then the substantial heavenly God planes with its own purified energy currents would be contigous and nearby to all the Viking negative energy. Its as if the evil energy of great magnitude in turn brings eventually on the heavenly God plane energy of similar great magnitude. An expression of these above tenets is all this poetry, song, that is the contents of the saga that accompanied these brutish warriors. Its a little strange in itself, but such poetical works of the Vikings could very well reveal the action of evil being transformed to goodness, using the Nietsche analogy, in terms of the creation towards the finalized poetical and song works. So as these Vikings were making their way across the world in these ships, rowing methodically through time and space, the evil and negative energy abounding psychically on these exploits were additionally being molded into song and poetry. A journey in itself of the psychic rivers and flows of evil energy towards the God like terrains of spiritual God like essence. Here again, actual naval endeavor and voyage of the soul into the heavenly realms as representative of the song and poetry of the Vikings, are one in the same. Later in history around the time of the magna charata, King Johns TIme, a time that defined human rights, or heading in that direction in English legal history, do we find the de -emphasis of the warrior and rather the ascendacy of the ministrel to carry the legacy of song and poetry and musical works,---that latter literary attributes that first originated with the Viking norsemen. And with this environment the Eck Master appears later in the 1500's with the powerful communications of God to the human soul in England in the 1500's. THe word animus, which means hostility and aggression, also is the root for animation, light and delight in artisitc endeavors. In fact the word aggression at its root means to make contact, encounter, as to communicate--such as lovers that fight to become closer when relationships become distant. Communicate truths and the like, in artisitc works. Neddelss to say the Noresemen had a lot of aggredi in their lives. They hi jacked the most beautiful women in Europe and sailed them to Iceland. And today the Icelandic beauty is well known coined term originating from these exploits several centuries ago with the Noresemen. Song poetry and beautiful women were the other side of these Viking rovings that gave the creative character to their exploits.

Further along the themes and thoughts of the above previous post particularly and even earlier posts, is additional facets. Rollo May the psycholigst that was interested in creative acts ---his works most notable in this area--Love and Will the Courage to Create and The Meaning of Anxiety. He noted how artists would hunt out deviant people in deviant situations, hang around them and the like, as if to participate with the fields of negative psychic energy emanating from these people. THis negative energy then would convert over to heavenly currents and finalization via the completion of the artisitc work. But its as if the artists rode a flow of negative energy to completing their works, one can see how negative psychic energy environments bolsterd and strengthened the creative flow of energy for these works. Furthermore what is interesting about the Viking exploits as detailed in the previous post is that the physical world around us is a spiritual plane in itself. And all this creative endeavor was happening in the spiritual world itself, or that part of the spiritual world known as the surrounding physical world around humanity and other creatures. That fact would mean the achievements of the Vikings would be spiritual in itself. The Cold War of today between Russia and The West, essentially the U.S. The territorial makeup underlying this political situation between communism and the West originated with the staking out of the territorial regions of the Vikings. Founding of Kiev for example before 1000 A.D. Leif Ericson made the first discovery and incursions into the U.S. at Martha's Vineyard in 1000 A.D. The English language as tens of billions of people down through the centuries have conceived the world around them via this language, the creation and construction of the language for the most part was the result of VIking influence upon the British isle, whether through the Norman invasion or earlier incursions from Scandanvia.English Common Law in America is a result of a lot of Viking activity and concepts also. Such are the lasting achievements of spiritual durability of the Norsemen that exist well up into today. And in these earlier currents of historical exploit and achievement the Eck Master arrival in the environments of the minstrel and London theatre troupe occured during Spenser and Shakespeare's time. And with his own divine agenda dictated from God himself. So can one trace the Elizabethan Eck Master's presence in Elizabethan England back through medieval history to these earlier Viking exploits with song and poetry. An earlier gestating current of spiritual essence materializing itself 1200 to 1300 years ago. Human and their ancient ancestors have been around for 2.5 million years. And the last 1300 years of Viking exploits could be one of the final spiritual currents of this 2.5 humanity presence on the earth. The Viking activity with its spiritual essence following possibly tens of thousands of similar earlier spiritual currents unique to man's existence in these earlier geo historical times.

The fact William Horton could have had some participatory role with Elizabethan literature, Shakespeare, is still a debatable point. What is interesting the later Puritan poet, from Hull Yorkshire, ANdrew Marvell, wrote a work called Hortus. Hortus means garden, and still carries the continuing influence of the word Hortus, Hortensia and Horton, from this Elizabethan era. Horton, in some etymological accounts states Horton means garden, enclosed that is. One account has it as a town Hor - tun, tun means to do, trade conduct commerce, and Hor could be allied with ort meaning place. A place to trade. What is intersting the names Houghton and Dutton means towns on hills or simply town. So Houghton, Dutton and Horton are similar in these regards. All three names mean towns or cities on gleeming hills. A potential spiritual essence indigenous to all three name's desigantions.Other interesting translations--Halifax is Latin for Face of God--Halifax being a town in Yorkshire and the supposed town in North Carolina that began the American Revolution and march to independence. The representatives from North Carolina in 1776, sent to Philadelphia, at the meeting of the Continental Congress---these respresentatives were the major ones responsible for persuading the congress to go ahead put into action the separation of the colonies from British authority. The N.C. representatives were well participant with Halifax N.C. in the Spring 1776 N.C. halifax congress, that declared independence from British authority -(Halifax resolves). If the N.C> representatives had not carried through this action, some historians believed only a waxing and waning empty philosophical discussion of Independence of man's rights only would have transpired at Philadelphia in the summer of 1776. With no real tangible outcome. No documents or resolve in any direction of independence. The N.C. group made sure that did not happen. Earlier in May 1775 in Charlotte (THe Mecklenburgh Resolves), were enacted where the city of Charlotte operated under its own laws separate from Brtitish authority thus being the first territorial region in the colonies to operate separate from British Authority. President James Polk's ancestor was a major participant in the 1775 Mecklenborough COunty activity of May 1775. James Polk 1845-1849, these years were the ones Polk was president.

Correction , towns on gleeming hills was not designated for all three names Dutton, Horton, Houghton. Perhaps one name, maybe Dutton had some reference to towns on gleeming hills, or possibly Houghton could have been the name. I lost the historical account that could have better clarified that fact. What is interesting additionally, is N.C. in spring of 1776 was the first colony to declare itself operating under its own laws. May 1775, Charlotte was operating under its own laws separate from British authority. Thus the first territory of any sort with its own laws in the colonies, took place there in May 1775. James Polk's ancestor (colonel Polk) was there to make an initial terriory--that is, Charlotte and Mecklenborough County--extant unto itself, with its own laws, separate from British authority. James Polk later created the whole continental U.S. with his creation of the New Mexico territories , California and the Oregon territories entries into the U.S. Territories that would operate under U.S. law. TExas also. Where Charlotte was eventually headed to, in May 1775 was to be under U.S. law. So both Polk's had that aignificant attribute to their political accomplishemnets.

The following web sites: "Forming of Destiny and Life after Death" Lecture 6 - Lecture on the Poem of Olaf Asteson Berlin 21, 1915. "Past Forward" We are all Karma Chameleons. 3. "Dream Song of Olaf Asteson : An ancient Norwegian Folksong of the Holy Nights" The previous three web sites detail an ancient Norwegian folk tale discovered in 1850 by a clergyman in Norway. The tale originated from Telemark Norway. It is about a man who at Christmas slept for thirteen days at a church and all of these thoughts and heavenly imagery came into his mind. But what is interesting about the above tale--which could have influenced the Norweigan myth of "Festival of Lights"---is the myth contains a part known as Brooksvalin, which is a term associated with cosmic judegement of the soul, that is the heaven and hell aspect of life. I wonder if William Brooke had Norwegian ancestry, possibly through Norman influences. ANd if The Brooke name is derived from or associated with Brooksvalin. The Brooksvalin myth and the Dreamsong designated above is an early Norwegian spiritual myth of high development, that could have preceded the Vikings. If there are cultural and historical events, currents and influences that preceded the arrival of the Elizabethan Eck Master in the 1500's the question would be, at what earliest point could one trace the --beginnings of such influences. The above Olaf Asteson Dreamsong would be notable to such a point of origin in early historical realms perhaps or at least be representative of the developed spiritual aspects of Norway at this time. The Norman population at the time of the invasion into England in the autumn of 1066, had Scandanavian bloodlines and warriors that were former Vikings most likely, since the Vikings settled Normandy and became Normans in customs and law. If William Brooke had Norwegian ancestry, either from earlier Viking incursions into England say in the 700's to 900s or through the Norman invasion, the name Brooke having any affiliation with "Brooksvalin", is interesting to ascertain via future research, if ascertainable. An etymological journey into the Norse vocabulary would be required to gain such information.

SOme further thoughts on Vking exploits from earlier posts. This theme concerns Icelandic history that was discovered by the Norse in 860 and the starting settlements by the Vikings in 870. At which time the immigration began that eventually would lead to the creation of what some people think are the most beautiful women in the World. THe Vikings carried out this eugenic like endeavor by raiding Europes most beautiful women and taking them to Iceland. But what is intersting with the gradual initial growth of the country that begins in earnest in the late 800's is that the Icelandic population evidently was immune as a colony of Europeans from any of the wide scale wars that afflicted Europe and later America, from the 800's up into the early twentieth century. This fact coincided with the existence and endurance of the Icelandic beauty, as the county's striking model of female beauty. However as the following web site: "Iceland: milestones in Icelandic History", relates historical events of significance that comprise Iceland's history. Only in 1627, North African Pirates plundered the eastern fjords and the Westman Islands, killing many. The only event approaching any type of war like invasion of the island from another nationality in an otherwise 1200 year period of insular independnece. Christopher Columbus visited the island in 1477. However catastrophe would strike ICeland in 1783-1785 with the Lakagigar eruption of earthwuakes. 10,000 people died. Great famines followed. Denmark seriously contemplated realocating the remaining Icelandic population to Jutland in Denmark, in the area of the Moors. Possibly the most major earthquake of its kind, to hit in the history of the planet, some sources speculate. 1401-1404 saw the Black death killing one third of the population. The above historical events are conveyed via the previously mentioned 'milestone' website concerning Iceland's history. And the creation of Iceland was one more parcel of the early creative formative Viking exploits that created a world that territorially and structurally for the most part remained intact today with all of its earlier cultural influences.

Some of the most overlooked features of why the American Revolution occured, that is America's break against Britain, can be found where the real impetus and activity for moving the colonies to a unified country eventually, with its own declaration of independence and constitution----can be found in North Carolina. We're the state that did it, one does not have to look any further. And one of the fascinating facets that is overlooked by most historians is the the prevalence of the German mentality in Britain, that was inherent in the Hanoverian King, king George III. When the German Originated Hanoverians took over Britain they brought invariably this massively repressed, aggressive German state of mind and psychology with them. And these attitudes needles to say, probably found themselves imbued in areas of government but most importantly in the military. The Navy, Army and other militia like services carried the German mentality institutionalization in how things were run. Mark Twain wrote, once the Germans had soemthing like sixteen or so words on how to hit people. Schlagen, umschlagen, abschlagen and so on. Boxing also emerged in the British Navy for toughening the men up as well as eventually becoming a national sport. One only has to look at World War II and the German general's actions and attitudes in relation to Hitler to see similarities to how the American's would rebel against the Hanoverian King George. German generals frequently disobeyed Hitlers orders simply because they being in the field had more understanding and entrenchment in reality than the delusional and fantasy proned meglomania of Hitler. Eventually, Rommel returned from the North African campaigns to instigate a plot to assasinate Hitler. Other words outright rebellion. So when one looks at the first territory to claim territorial independence with its own laws it was a German county in North Carolina--Mecklenburgh county in May 1775. A German county essentially claiming independence from a German King, in Britain. So a lot of the American Revolution, stirrings in Meckleburgh County originally in 1775,--- was more like the seedling semblance of eventual Rommel assasinating the mad leader than actually basically British subjects in America versus British inhabitants in ENgland, possibly. The Mecklenburgh Resolves in the German county of North Carolina could give additional hints to what the real psychology was in carrying through the American Revolution. King George, and his madness, with ringing hand bells, comes to mind as a delusional state of mind, and delusional mindset like Hitlers. For example Hitler's shuffling around of Greek styled toy blocks of buildings of his thousand year reich in the bunker, dreaming of its soon to be inception, when the Russians were only blocks away from killing him. This German slant psychologically is an interesting historical area to investigate further for understanding the energy and dynamics for the fuel of American Revolution. Vis a Vis a German mentality bearing ENglish King with all the authoritarian and repressive eccentricities and methods his ancestral line brought to Britain.

The following web sites: "Colonial America Mecklenburg Resolves War for Independence, May 31, 1775." Found under 'Mecklenburg Resolves': Google at No. 2 site, most likely, as of June 10th 2008 operational modes.(2) Wikipedia Entry: "Mecklenburgh Declaration of Indepedence" Contained in this site is the history and controversy of the creation and existance of the Resolves, including Jefferson's sentiments about the mysterious appearance of sections of the document showing up in the Declaration of Independence, sentiments communicated to John Adams. Also in the wikipedia entry the section "Perpetual Battles over the Mecklenburg Declaration" carries additional information on the resolves, and the controversy of their nature and existance. Another side fact, I don't know if there is sure evidence of who is the author of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. No scholar or any information anywhere, can document the actual method of creation as well as the author, precisely of the passages and words of these documents, in the various sections that comprise the documents, today. All we know is that Thomas Jefferson and James Madison had a hand, possibly in it.This scenario is even made more tantalizing by the fact, of this section of the Mecklenburg Resolves winding up in the Declaration of Independence. The D. of Independenc was authored from Charlottetwon N.C.. at least in part, one conclusive angle on the issue could factually purport accurately, depending on future research on the issue, since passages from it turned up in Philadelphia in the Declaration of Independence in 1776, July.. And thus the nature and coming into being of both the Mecklenburg documents and the Philadelphis July 1776 documents share this mystery that is similar to the Shakespeare authorship. Who are the authors of all of these documents, plays, poems and the like? Or how did they actually come into creative being? An interesting situation to further clarify. Maybe UFO aliens at Chatham County's the Devil's Trampng Ground, one December night in 1775 wrote up all the documents that would later at Philadelphia appear, it would seem, being just as good a possibility as other authors and candidates. They held a congressional all night party blitz of sort with wild dancing frenetically entranced devils and she demons, with amulets and trinklets dangling from their arms and calves, and the like, prancing around a bonfire, and its flames piercing the night air. And before daybreak the U.S. was well on its way to being born. Most likely it did not happen that way, but there is no more a sober answer to the question how the Mecklenburg resolves came into being and the Philadelphia 1776 documents too came into reality. The above two articles detail more thoroughly these questions and interesting facets of the beginnings of America.

The following article from the New York Times archives-dated: October 23, 1860; "Mineral Wealth of North Carolina". In western Chatham County N.C. five or seven miles north of the Devils Tramping Ground and about seven or so miles north of the House in The Horse Shoe, is an ore producing area called Ore Hill. It was mined and operated before the Revolutionary War. Ore Hill could have played a major psychological confidence boosting role for initiating the Revolutionary Role because both rifles and gunpowder were being manufactured from the site before the Revolutionary War.(2) Philip Alston of the house in the Horsehoe was involved in the armament operations at Ore Hill and furthermore, being a man of somewhat artistocratic stature, had furthermore relations and tie ins back to his hometown of Halifax North Carolina. It was in the spring of 1776, from Halifax that the political operatives from North Carolina were dispatched to Philadelphia in the summer of 1776, in order to lobby intensely for the break from Britain and not let the Congress slide into some philosophical discussion.(3) William and David Kennedy, of the Kennedy Rifle, a rifle operation that by 1800 was or well on its way to becoming the largest arms producer in the southeastern U.S. would also produce arms from Ore Hill. Whether his actions followed the revolutionary war could have been. But the size of his operation gave one the sense of how replete Ore hill's raw materials were, and by that fact how susbstantial the ore there would have been, to give a psychological confidence boosting mentality to the North Carolina Delegates at Halifax in the spring of 1776---a confidence factor to weigh, that they had the means to carry out the revolution, at least in North Carolina.(4) The Colonists scored a victory in the winter of 1775, within southeastern N.C., on the coastal plain part of the state, Moores Bridge, if I remember correctly. This invariably was an additioanl confidence boosting factor also, for creating the events leading up to the revolution. Ore Hill, was raided extensively by the Confederates in the early days of the Civil War. In fact there are deep holes one could be at risk in falling into if one is not careful walking through the area, from the Confederate raiding of the ore at the site in the 1860's. The above information gives one an idea of another potential historical fact--Ore Hill and its raw materials for armament production---that could have played a larger substantial role in the creation of the Revolutionary War in the colonies in 1776. A factor that to date has not been explored sufficently by either local or national historians. paricularly in consideration of the Halifax native Philip Alston's connection to both Ore Hill's ore production and likewise Alston's relationship back to Halifaz and the notables there in the town in 1775-1776, where his influence could have been substantial. And that is influence on the suitablility of Ore Hill's resources for rifle making and gunpowder production.

One of the mysterious overlooked facts of Chatham County's history is that the Devil's Tramping Ground could have originated from American Indian tribal rituals, thousands of years ago. Perhaps the result of the ritual is the creation of the Devil's Tramping ground. And inherent in that creation, the Devil's ground itself reflects the eventual extinction of life on earth in the hundreds of years in the future. Toda,y global warming exists across the planet with one third of all species potentially disappearing in the next forty to fifty years, some scientists predict. And yet with Ore Hill and all the other notable historical figures that came along in time in-- the 1700's 1800's up until the present, that played a substantial role in creating the United States, that is notables from Chatham, Orange, Wake and Moore counties and other adjacent counties, followed in the wake of whatever happened with these earlier tribes of the Devil's Tramping Ground, if indeed the plot of sterile land came about within American Indian rituals. An interesting historical fact to better clairfy in the future. Even today, Democratic Presidential candidate, John Edwards of the North Moore County town of Robbins, where he grew up---came from an area of rich American political history. In 2004, as a sign of the times, some media people interviewd the townspeople of Robbins and asked who was the most popular denizen in the town recently, and a good deal thought, the Space Shuttle captain that commanded a NASA space shuttle, was more popular than Edwards. Possibly given the fact the Democrats did not have much of a chance winning in 2004 anyway, but the issue goes to show how times and priorities have changed in N.C. and America for that matter in the past half century. Space flight seems more prioritized in Robbins these days in a sense with results of such a poll. Other web sites of note: "Moores Creek National Battlefield" (U.S> National Park Sewrvice) "Battle of Moore's Creek Bridge" www.u-s-history.com "Top Ten Things to know About WIlmington/StarNewsOnline.com/ Star..." The above web site relates more information on the last battle in N.C. before the Halifax Resolves were passed in the spring of 1776. Actually the battle occured at the end of February 1776--this a correction from earlier postings of 1775. There was even a ghost story involving the ghosts of some of the soldiers of the Battle, in N.SC. Folklore. Possibly the writer Nancy Roberts had more information on this story.

How substantial the Horton - Houghton relationship of Chatham County was, is left to the records of history. Both families moved into Chatham County in the 1700's, at least the Hortons did. Shakespeare lived with the Houghtons of Lancashire England during his youth and was introduced to the theatre at least on a wide scale level, while with the Catholic Houghtons at this time- 1570's. Abraham Horton Sr. born in Springfield Mass. 1722 had several children that were born roughly in Bucks County Pennsylvania in 1759.Abraham Sr. gradually moved southwards until the 1760's he settled in Surry County N.C. One interesting notable fact about this N.C. situation, is Abraham Jr., a son of the elderly, Abraham Horton, married a Chatham County Native, Adithia Clark. She was a family member of the Lewis and Clark team's : Clark. This exploratory team, later participated with William Henry Harrison, when the latter was governor?(or military leader?) of the Indiana territory. Exploring the Louisiana Purchase and the lands westward were a major focus for Lewis and Clark, at that time. But the Abraham Horton and Adithia Clark marriage, is significant perhaps, that the establishment of the Chatham County and Central North Carolina Horton line begins participating with the William Harrisons of Virginia, with this marriage. Secondly, outer exploration, of a new world, in these terms the western part of the U.S. occurs in connection of some sort, with this marriage also, since the Clarks of Lewis and Clarks--Adithia Clark was a member of this Clark family.. Later Chatham County events of the 1800s involving William Henry Harrison and the descendents of the William Henry Harrison family:(1) John Owen of Pittsboro, National Whig Leader in the early 1800's. Turned down the vice presidential offer of W.H. Harrison in 1839, and essentially with it, Owen missed the chance for the presidency, except, Owen too, died in the fall of 1841, about six to ten months after W.H. Harrison's death.(2) Benjamin Harrison's mother was a Horton and blood relative of the Chatham Horton's Abraham Horton to some connected degree, Adithia Clark for example was Abraham Jr.'s wife as mentioned previously.(3) William Harrison and Benjamin Harrison, long participants of Indianapolis Indiana, a teritorial focal point, in the early 1800's for, further expansion and exploration of the Louisana Purchase and Northwest Territories,---west of the Town of Pittsboro Indian took birth around 1815. This event for reasons of migration into Indiana, could also involve influences of the William Henry Harrison and ,later Benjamin Harrison influences by faint subsequent extrapolation, that extended into Chatham County because of (1) and (2), as previously mentioned.

Continuing from the above post: What is interesting about the above factual historical data on William Henry Harrison, is that, a lot of Lewis and Clark history along with William Henry Harrison's political exploits, particularly when he was governor or military leader, of Indiana is also tied and substantially participant with Chatham County History, at least beginning in the 1760's. And initially, involving the Hortons of Chatham,--Abraham Horton Jr. most specifically. And with this Chatham association with the Hortons, comes a historical connection back to England with a potential family line, that was connected to Lancashire COunty and the Houghtons, with the Horton group there, if the latter did exist in Lancashire. Additioanlly, William Horton of Yorkshire, mid 1550s and onwards, whose wife Elizabeth Hanson, duaghter of Katherine Brooke, this Elizabeth Hanson could have been a family member of William Brooke. And with that Elizabeth Hanson would have been related to a lot of the Shakespeairan characters and supporters and authors: Falstaff, Arthur Brooke-(potential Katherine Brooke relative also) and William Brooke, the latter who owned the Shakespearian acting troupe companies. Since the conditions of the plays creation involved potentially, William Horton of Yorkshire, late 1500's (2) and the Houghtons of Lancashire. What Horton Houghton realtionship in Lancashire in the 1500's and 1600's if any, would be a significant historical fact to better ascertain and illustrate by local historians. One could imagine, in Yorkshire and Lancashire Counties of England in the 1500s and early 1600s, the Hortons and Houghtons, as living their lives, became participants potentially with the creation of the Shakesperian plays. Shakespere exploring the inward realms of the human soul. TO use Sidney's term described in Michael Schmidt's "Lives of the Poets" -- The "Full Sail of Verse"--the mode of exploration of the world around us, by examining inwards, is what Shakespeare accomplished. In Chatham County N.C. in 1770's, the descendents of the Horton and Houghton families, of England at that time carried on the further exploration endeavors----apparently, most prominently Hortons, by becoming participant with the William Henry Harrison and Lewis and Clark group. Abraham Horton Jr. marriage to Adithia Clark in the 1770s appears to be an initial event for connecting the Chatham County history of William Henry Harrison and Lewis and Clark endaevors. And later Mathew Henson and his North Pole exploration when Henson joined Peary around 1907-1909, this event too, became a part of Chtahm COunty's exploratory history also. An event that could be added to The 'WIlliam Henry Harrison - Horton - John Owen history' with Adithia Clark and Lewis and Clark. THe Haughton's Navigation COmpany and their history with that enterprise throughout the 1800s in Chatham County. And Lurking on the borders of chatham COunty was Dolly Mdison's family of Greensboro N.C. She was involved with the purchase of the Lousiana Purchase Territores and the writing of the U.S. Constitution adn Declaration of Independence.

To use Sidney's term described in Michael Schmidt's "Lives of the Poets"--the "Full Sail of Verse"---the mode of exploration of the world around us by exploring inwards, is what Shakespeare accomplished. In Chatham County in the 1770's, the descendants of the Horton and Houghton families, of England at that time, carried on further exploration endeavors,---most prominently Hortons, by becoming participant with the marriage of Adithia Clark in the 1770s to Abraham Horton Jr., appears to be an initial event for connecting the Chatham County history to William Henry Harrison and Lewis and Clark endeavors. Matthew Henson, North Pole explorer with Peary 1907-1909, also is another historical event of Chatham County exploration in the early twentieth century. And could be added with Lewis and Clark, and, Shakespeare's full sail of verse that is, with the Houghton history William of Stratford had--all exploration events that would find a nexus in Chatham County N.C. Dolly Madison's family in Greensboro N.C.--Dolly Madison played a role in the Louisiana Purchase of 1803 and the writing of the constitution and Declaration of Independence, to varying degress, since she was James Madison's wife. But the Chatahm County history is somewhat of "an outpost of the Future"-- of the 1550's-1630's' English history events that involved Shakespeare's life, Houghtons of Lancashire, William Horton and his wife, Elizabeth Hanson and her progeny ect. All these events carry an aura of exploration right up to Adithia Clark's marriage to Abraham Horton Jr., a marriage that brought Lewis and Clark and W.H. Harrison into Chatham County's historical orbit. And later Matthew Henson continued the exploration heritage of Chatham COunty --an exploration heritage imbedded in these aforementioned historical events.

And with such endeavors, the Lewis and Clark exploraitons of the vast western frontier of the United States in association with the Lewis and Clark team. The oceans were pushed by the English in 1587, Sir Walter Raleigh voyage --Lost Colony N.C., the Jamestown settlements 1607 or thereabouts, and the Mayflower Voyage at Plymouth 1621. And then later, Lewis and Clark explored and pushed back the frontiers of the soon to be U.S. with travels into the Northwest U.S. in the early 1800's. Thus, " Haughton, Horton, Adithia Clark, W.H. Either as direct participants with each other and the affairs of their days or somewhat as peripheral participants, with each other and Chatham County's past. Correction of the above posts, Dolly Madison was probably not involved with writing of the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence, but since she was wife of James Madison who had substatnial input on the documents, she has some distant association with the documents. During the War of 1812, when the British were about to burn down Washington, She grasped up important documents, perhasp treaty type of material, as the U.S. citizens fled Washington upon an inciptent British invasion. Her family was born in Greensboro, and she was born there though she had no consitent long term relationship with Greensboro following her birth. Pittsboro Chatham County was also known for Girl's Academies and Pittsborough Academy was such a school in the town. It can be found on the internet. In the second half of the twentieth century a shady event involving a potential murder, but never proven, involving a member of the extremely rich Kenan family, a Kenan matriarch, whose death at a Judge's House on Salsbury Street,Pittsboro, joined Flagler?, Kenan corporate fortunes with Louisville Newspapers. This agalmated wealth later essentially created Florida. Whitehall, Palm Beach, The hotel the Breakers were Flagler and Kenan's early fincancial exploits into the Floridian regions, where from this earlier point Florida took off as a major resort and vacation area for the world. A surge of expanding economic growth that essentially was ignited by the mysterious nefarious events in Pittsboro involving the Kenan matriarch.Florida too, exists as a part of the Uhwarrie range, and has possible geological histotry with Scotland or near such history. Andrew Jackson, also recruited lawyers from Chatham County to become part of his successfual politcal machine that took him to the Presidency. That is a possible fact, not very well explored. But the above are additional random facts of Chatham County N.C. history, that the Haughton and Horton families grew up in.

Correction, I meant to say second decade of twentieth century, on the Kenan issue, in Pittsboro, involving a corrupt Judge. In any case, an additional web site "Flagler's Florida" gives an interesting historical account of this early twentieth century period of Florida's history and its rise as a major tourist oriented state. Additionally, what is interesting about the possibility that there was an Eck Master present in England during the Shakesperian era, can be further validated by examining the content of some the sonnets. In Eckankar literature, there were Eck Masters that were presnt in earlier historical periods of civilization, such as ancient Egypt in the times of the Pharohs. At this time the architectural miracle of the pyramids were built. They were built with astonishing precision. THe following. The following quote: from sonnet 125": "Were t'aught to me I bore the canopy, With my extern, the outward honouring, Or laid great bases for eternity, WHich proves more short than waste or ruining?" These lines clearly are in reference with ancient Egypt and the pyramids-(great bases of eternity)- and also are the voice of an advisor to the pharoh or even God for that matter. An Egyptian ECK Master is what these lines detail most likely and are further evidence of such a holy man influencing ancient Egypt at that time as well as later the Elizabethan people later on and the literature of this time. The Eckankar work: "The Spiritual Notebook" has a section on the historical ECK Masters. And in this section, the advisor to the pharohs can be found, an Egyptian ECK Master that is.

Additional information on central Indiana. Clustered in the central part of the state are three towns: Indianpolis, Pittsboro, and Crawfordsville Indiana. Lewis Wallace who wrote Ben Hur, pirportedly, while governor of the New Mexico Territores, in Santa Fe, 1878-1881 ( a position, governor of New Mexico, held by Abraham Rencher from Pittsboro--Rencher held the position in the 1850's, rpobably since Polk brought the N.M terrritories into being.)his home is in Crawfordsville Indiana, west of Indianapolis by about twenty five to fifty miles. Crawfordsville I believe is south of Pittsboro Indiana. A museum for Lewis Wallace is located in Crawfordsville. Lewis Wallace was a U.S. ambassador to Istanbul, I believe in the latter two decades of the 1800's. So a lot of the museum in Crawfordsville, that is dedicated to Wallace's literary exploits, carries Muslim and Christian environs to it. He is an ancestor of mine. Along with John Kennedy Street of Dallas Texas, a Civil War chaplain, whose letters can be found at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. John Kennedy Street and Lewis Wallace were related through the south Texas connection in the 1800's. Also have a very diatant relative, more of a blood connection from distant earlier times, who was Lietutenant Governor of Texas in the 1800's Albert Clinton Horton. But Rencher and Especially Lewis Wallace had literary pursuits.my Grandmother was Wallace.

The interesting historical feature for Chatham COunty North Carolina could be enumerated as follows (1) Horton -Haughton presence with possible other English individuals, who lived in Chatham from the 1700's onwards. And Horton Haughton could have been involved in the historical background settings, participation with individuals of that time related to Shakespearian endeavors, possibly other contribution to the plays of a literary nature, of Shakespeare's plays development, as well as other writers. Particularly involving the counties of Lancashire and Yorkshire. Thus an involvement in Inward exploration of the human soul. (2) Horton and Haughton arrived on the Plymouth 1621, via Mayflower voyage, thus an early exploration of the new world by this event via naval endeavors and the like (1630's) (3) Descendents of Horton and Houghtons, in reference to Chatham County N.C. Haughton specifically, become participant with the central Indiana area to a varying degree via contacts (marriages, political connections) a participation beginning around 1770s up unto 1800 and onwards through this initial 19th century decade. Adithia Clark, W.H Harrison, John Owen, Lewis and Clark, and finally, later, Benjamin Harrison attest to that participatory fact. Exploration of the Northwest passage, Louisianna Purchase territories, and the Oregon territories are examples of Lewis and Clark's explorations.Explorations connected to Lewis and Clark's journeys and W.H. Harrison.(4) Chapel Hill educated James Polk, president of the United States 1844-1848, added on to the United States, New Mexico territories, and Oregon Territories, to complete the United States. A final Chapter in exploration of new lands of the future U.S. west that were eventually brought into the union. So Chatham County history in its earlier days was interwoven with Shakespearian exploration, Mayflower exploration, Central Indiana Exploration - Lewis and Clark, and eventually the western U.S.-Polk's acquisitions. Chatham County's history particularly in the later 1700's through the first sixty to seventy years of the 1800s involve exploration of inward type and outward environmental journeys through the western half of the U.S. Additionally in Chatham Conty, Haughton McIver House, near the Gulf community, is a vestige of the Haughton life in the county. Descendents most likely of the Lancashire Houghtons who oversaw William Shakespeare's adolesence, with theatre, literary and religous pursuits.

In regards to the above previous post, the following can be stated about James Polk, who had formed a political nucleus with Abraham Rencher and John Owen while living his early days at The University of North Carolina around 1819. This nucleus stretched from Chapel Hill to Pittsboro. From the Web site: "Biography of Sarah Polk" -"A devout Presbyterain, she refused to attend horse races or the theatre; but she always maintained social contacts of value to James. When he returned to Washington as President in 1845, she stepped to her high position with ease and evident pleasure. She appeared at the inaugral blaa, but did not dance." Later--"Contrasted with Julia Tyler's waltzes, her entertainments have become famous for sedateness and sobriety. Some later accounts say that the Polks never served wine..." End of quote. Such was the austere environment created by Sarah Polk upon entry into Washington. Later on the last night of the presidency, in hotel room, at Midnight, with a stack of Bills and legislation on a desk, James Polk was signing bills up until the stroke of midnight, when his authority ceases as president. As the beginning of the presidency came, Sarah Polk who was against gaming and frivolity, set the tone of a presidency that ended with straight forward work. Three months later, in a leisure trip environment in New Orleans, with gaming and the like, James Polk died. Possibly on a pleasure cruise. As if some premonition of his death, is a psyhological fact of history to be ascertained."James Polk : wikipedia""PBS- The West_ James Polk" These are additional web sites that carry information on this president who carried out the finalizing of the U.S. territory development. It is interesting that Polk as a protege of Andrew Jackson died in New Orleans. Jackson sealed his place to the presidency with the victory of New Orleans back with the conflict of Britain in the second decade of the 1800.s There Jackson and Polks destiny would ride out as presidents to be--- from that Louisianna military victory. And Polk would end such a half of century venture in New Orleans upon his death.

Additional information on the previous post and ones before it. James Polk and James Cochrane? Dobbin, the latter a secretary of Navy for the U.S. Both men died at 55 years old or close to that age. There were some historical accounts concerning Dobbin that he had a premonition of his death that was to arrive early. And likewise James Polk's wife carried out a WHite House social agenda that was opposite the gaming and leisure trip of New Orleans,-- a trip Polk died on on June 15 1849. As if Sarah Polk's austere social policy in the White House had indigenous to it a premonition like thought of foreboding of Polk's death's circumstances. A gaming environment. This could be, since both men lived roughly at the same time in central N.C. and Washington D.C, for most of their lives together with the fact that both died around 55 at relatively young ages. But it is interesting that both these N.C. politicians had some interesting historical trappings surrounding their deaths. Polk's adding the New Mexico territories ignited a decade of bitter rancor in the U.S. Government senate and House, concerning the expansion of slavery. Bitter rivalry and hostilities to such a point, the Southern politicians were seriously concerned about the southern social order collapsing. Hence, Franklin Pierce's election revealed a pocketed northern politician from New Hampshire, pocketed virtually by the south. An example of how dire the sectional divisions had become, and the lengths the southern politicians would go to maintain in their belief social order in the south. Nevertheless, War broke out at Fort Sumter in the early 1860's and massive bloodshed was soon to follow subsequently in the four or so years afterwards. Northern Moore County's Andrew Johnson would be the first president to attempt to restore the Union when he took over the presidency in the spring of 1865.

THe following article "The Mysterious Mr. W.H." Gwynneth Bowen, Spring 1969. The following quote: "To the Right Worshipful and/ Vertuous Gentleman, Mathew Saunders, Esquire./ W.H. wisheth, with long life, a propserous/ achievemnet of his good desires" A dedicatory epistle follows, in which W.H. writes of these meditations. "Long have they lien hidden in obscuritie, and happily had never seen the light, had not a mere accident conveyed them to my hands." The epistle is signed--"Your Worships unfained affectionate W.H.". William Horton of Yorkshire and his son WIlliam Horton, both carry the initial's W.H. Could either one, particularly the father have some association with the W.H. described in the previous Bowen quote? But furthermore the two words "obscurtite" nad "light", the latter means light of God, most likely, the way its used in the quote. And obscuritie describes the conditions of existence of the Eck Master. Particularly with this indiviual's historical legacy in earlier historical eras, and the obscure conditions he lived in during these times. W.H. seems to be some sort of literary agent, collecting literary works. Could he be collecting literary works for the Eck Master and then, the Eck Master would take the works assess them critique them, modify them? All with the pure divine essence imbuing the Eck Master's judgement in such endeavor. Its an interesting thought to consider. And if W..H is William Horton of Yorkshire, then 'the W.H. Eck Master collaboration' could be in Yorkshire. Furthermore, Elizabeth Hanson's mother, Katherine Brooke, could also associate the William Horton Elizabeth Hanson family with ties to William Brooke. WIlliam Brooke was handling the acting troupes in London that WIlliam of Stratford was acting in. And also the works of Shakespeare were being presented in. If William Brooke had such heavy participation with the actual presentation of the plays in London why not another relative, Katherine Brooke's daughter--'ELizabeth Hanson and William Horton'--these two, handling the initial receiving of flows of literary works and further creation of such works (with input of the Eck Master)in and out of Yorkshire?" Its a plausible thought to consider since W.H. were recieiving literary works for his perusal as the above initial Bowen quote details. Also the promise of long life and prosperousness as the Bowen quote relates is similar to the Sonnet's dedication of "Our Ever living poet, promising long life". Such poet being the Eck Master. The similarity of the two quotes in the previous sentnece, further relate W.H. to the Eck Master, since the sonnet's dedication quote of our ever living poet is similar in thought to the above W.H. statement of proseprous and happy achievements with 'wisheth long life'. In the latter as W.H. relates. See Harry Horton Buzzle entries in Arts and Literature message Board sections, categories 1-3,- Shakespeare ones, English Teacher's TOp Five and the Creative Imagination --titles of the pieces--- for further extended information on the above thoughts in this communique.

Further extende thoughts along the previous quotes themes and facts: William Horton of Yorkshire, came from a line of Hortons that lived in Bradford Yorkshire and Bradford on the Dale. This fact could indicate that the Yorkshire Hortons had a long affiliation with the Yorkshire Bradfords that stretched back through medieval English history, possibly even before William the Conquerors time. A long association similar to the Hortons with the Houghtons, that existed in Yorkshire, Lancashire and Northampton counties since the Houghton and Horton names lie with such close proximity to each other. William Bradford of Yorkshire was a Hanson. His mother was Hanson and WIlliam Horton's children were Hansons, thus, these Horton children are blood related to William Bradford. William Bradford sailed on the Mayflower and was the first long term governor of the Plymouth COlony and thus finalized at his death the continuance and success of the upper tier of the American settlements and thus future U.S., intact and in place. He died in 1657? or thereabouts, and the time from 1621- 1657 were just about totally ruled by William Bradford. When one considers the Southampton departure of the Mayflower in the fall of 1620, there are three notable attribute present on the Mayflower.(1) The Eck Master, after completing the influence of Elizabethan literature now turns his attnetion of getting America underway, under divine agenda. He is on the Mayflower.(2) WIlliam Bradford is on the Mayflower and the governor who will accomplish the colony's success. How much divine ordination via the Eck Master's presence is anotable issue to consdier. But since WIlliam Bradford is from Yorkshire, if this influcence is present from the Eck Master, this fact could further point to the Eck master's presence in Yorkshire during the previous 'Eck Master influenced writings' of the Elizabethan works.(3) William Bradford is of 'Hanson blood". And William Horton Jr. is of Hanson blood too. William Horton and WIlliam Horton Jr. are also from Yorkshire. So all in all, these three factors, enumerated above that detail the features and persons of the Mayflower voyage are also indigenous to Yorkshire county. If one accepts the Eck Master premise--this is the only one on 'thin iced theoretical grounds', but could potentially be factual reality of valid fact. Henry Wriothesley, a potential candidate for the W.H. sonnet's dedication is also known as the Earl of Southampton, and he was the recipetent of Shakespeare's dedications in the Bard's early works. Could Shakespeare's interest in him have deeper future political siginficance. Southampton would be needed to launch the Eck Master's trip to Plymouth Rock via the Mayflower in 1620. And Henry Wriothesley was the Earl of Southampton and thus could have had associations with the potilcal climate of the rulers of the Southampton village. And He too is drawn somewhat peripherally into this Yorkshire orbit with William Bradford and the needs of strating America in the north via the Mayflower settlement.

Further extended thoughts along the previous post's line of the thinking. If William Bradford and the Eck master were on the Mayflower, this fact could potentially point to a close relationship between the Eck Master and William Bradford, --a relationship of some manner. WIlliam Bradford is from Yorkshire and the Bradfords had a close historical relationship with the Hortons. THe close relationship between the Eck Master and William Bradford could have existed in Yorkshire, a relationship previous to the Mayflower voyage. And if there were a close relationship between the Bradfords , William Bradford included, and the Eck Master, in Yorkshire, then the scene is set for a close relationship between William Horton (W.H.) and the Eck Master too. So in regards to the previous post's quotes from the G. Bowen article that contains the W.H. statements, W.H. could be WIlliam Horton. These statements seem to describe W.H. working in collaboration with the EcK Master,--- works by Southwell that had not by accident seen the light if the works did not come to W.H.'s hand. Such an assertion found in the Bowen statement points heavily to W.H. working with another, such as the Eck Master. Even though this is factually hard to confirm. The above is a logical step through of theoretical nature, of how the Eck Master, Hortons and Bradfords and Hansons of Yorkshire County could have existed together in the 1500's. How valid or truthful the above facts are, is left to future research. Its still interesting to me that as centuries passed, and Hortons and Bradfords and Houghtons came together at critical points of history and formed such relationships, as if such relationships were predestined to some extent---from a genealogical interest's point of view---this fact I find fascinating. Particularly if an Elizabethan Eck Master arrived with spiritual information that the world no longer serves sufficently for evolving the soul's journey back to God, and the human race over the next five hundred years may as well resign itself, that a new world for the human soul is somewhere in the future offing. The negative current is at its height at this point in human history, acording to Eckankar, the negative currnet predominates and runs its empty course. All of these spiritual and philosophical attestments are interwoven in the Elizabethan history's fabric.

COntinuance of thoughts from the previous posts in this section. The Gwynneth Bowen article, the following quote comes: "He seems to have accepted without question Sir Sidney Lee's obscure stationer theory, and believing, as he did, that the author of the sonnets was Edward de Vere Earl of oxford, he was surprised, but intrigued, to find that the Jesuit poet, Robert Southwell, had spent much of his time, from 1586 to about 1592, at Lord Vaux's house in Hackney; which according to the historican Hackney, William Robinson was probably Brooke house, then known as King's Place." End quote. Brooke House is named after William Brooke, whose family members have been confirmed to have substantial involvement in supplying the characters in Shakespeare's plays. Falstaff, who was John Oldcastle, was a Brooke, and Arthur Brooke, ROmeo and Juliet author, Two noble kinsmen could be modelled after william Brooke's continental travels to Italy and France in the 1540's and William Brooke ran the acting companies in London itself. Katherine Brooke, Elizabeth Hanson's mother could further extend WIlliam Brooke's influence with the Shakepseare's works to Yorkshire, with William Horton, there. But what is interesting according to the Bowen article, is the sonnets were present at King's Place before they went into publication in 1609.(also De Vere line is blood related to Elizabeth Hanson).ANd later, Lord Vaux's residence is renamed Brooke House. So one has the sonnets, with the dedication containing W.H.(William Horton Jr.?)the name Brooke, Katherine Brooke as relative to Brooke, and Elizabeth Hanson being related to the de Vere line. Such is some of the circumstances surrounding the sonnets presence previous to publication at Lord Vaux's House in the months or years previous to 1609. SOme of the weaknesses in the William Hall stationer theory , WIlliam Hall as the receiver of the sonnets, the sole one that is. With this thought in mind, some analysts think the sonnets were to be given only to Mr. W.H., only for him to read and no one else;--- the general English public and the world included, who would have no right to the sonnets. Yet giving the works to a stationer, for publication is rather odd and does not fit this peviously described intent, because such action would make the sonnets known to the general public.. What is more interesting, when one receives information, privately from God, through the Eck Master's guidance, a happening that takes place in the mind---according to Eckankar's principles, such information is to be kept secretive and private between the receiver and the Eck master. This line of Eckankar thought and principle seems to be present in the dedication of the sonnets. That is, where, "Our Ever living poet, who is promising happiness and eternity", wishes these sonnets to be private to the Mr. W.H., the receiver. An action no different if Mr. W.H. were receiving spiritual instruction from the Eck Master via Eckankar spiritual techniques--such as from reciting the hu chant.

THe following web site in consideration: "Horton--www.jowest.net/Genealogy/Jo/ Sargent/ Horton.htm-19K"--- "Anne Horton descended from prominent and influential families of the early settlers, in New England and Massachusetts Bay." A quote from the web site. This web site traces back Anne Horton's ancestry back to the Roman Emperors over 100 B.C. A good deal of the ancestors of royal lineage comes from, I believe, through Yorkshire's Elizabeth Hanson's ancestral line. Elizabeth Hanson married William Horton in the 1570s. THis carmel colored background web site is fairly extensive and reflects Anne Horton's saturated royal line past that extends all over Europe, from Scandanavia, to Kiev, France, the German states, and early off into Italy and Ancient Britain. Old King Cole (King Lear) is an Anne Horton ancestor. From the web site Generation 58 Tiberius Claudius Nero and Mark Antony are Anne Horton ancestors. Generation 61-62 Julius Caesar, an Anne Horton ancestor. THese are examples of her heritage. A well done, genealogically researched 'succesive enumerated generation' substantiated web site and its historical information, is what this site is about. Not to be missed. But what is interesting about the information in this web site, in relationship to Shakespeare are two principles. Principle (1) Does this site establish William Brooke and his family members as central to the works, writings and presentation of Shakespeare's works?(2) The Eckankar principles, that only private information between the receiver of God's words and instructions, via the Eck Master, ELizabethan Eck Master or otherwise Eck Msters of previous eras, this principle also be present overall in the writings and presentation of Shakespeare's total works? FOr example, if one took the aforementioned precept, concerning the sonnets ---that Mr. W.H. the only begetter of the word of God from our ever living poet, who by the way promises happiness and eternity. And this word of God being the content of the sonnets itself. THis action is private between Our ever living poet and Mr. W.H. the begetter, according to Eckankar principles. The sonnets are a written work of Shakepsare. So how about all the other works of Shakespeare being written in the theme of being-- such "holy private communications" between our ever living poet and the family members of ----William Brooke. Are the Shakespeaer writings nothing more than a private intiamte family affair between William Brooke and the Eck Master? If political events also have a spiritual predestined quality indigenous to them, one has a very interesting situation with William Brooke's coming to power in the mid 1550's. He and Queen Elizabeth came to power within six weeks of each other in the spring? of a mid 1550's year. And both had long rules and reign up until around 1600. Queen Elizabeth died in the early 1600's first decade that is. But when one looks at the Anne Horton ancestral line, one is looking at all the characters of Shakespeare plays. Elizabeth Hanson, Anne Horton William Brooke--(the latter most likely though further genealogical research needs to confirm that fact)all have individuals that show up in Shakespeare plays especially Shakespeare's history plays. King LEar, Julius Ceasar, Mark ANtony and Cleopatra, Cymbelline, blood relations with the Boleyns, CLovis, WIlliam the COnqueror,. COuld the Shakespeare canon be nothing more than a writing of WIlliam Brooke's family history,, that should have been private. Writings of the receiving words of God along Eckankar principles, to a the Brooke relations of the 1500's that is William Brooke,. William Brooke is central and responsible for Shakespeare's works coming to the world. And the above ideas are interesting to consider. So then the gist of the sonnet's dedication, of the private nature of Mr. W.H. receiving the word of God--such approach--could it be also applied to the whole Shakespeare canon itself.

Three major historical features can be attributed to Cheshire County at the beginnings of Norman times, that is the years following the Norman invasion of 1066. First--the county was laid waste, its land salted so growing crops would be inhibited; the population dispossed also. This event created a wasteland or wasta and abandoned lands. Secondly, the minstrels emerged from this wasteland as free spirits. It is interesting that the minstrels emerged from abandoned lands, living as free spirits over the land, that is their existence lived within song and dance, with lyres, flutes and the like. In 1216 the Cheshire Duttons began to organize the ministrels, these free spirits, in a fashion similar to the Domesday Book approach. That is registering, counting the musicians and minstrels that were good enough to play in Cheshire county. Thirdly, the Domesday Book itself. The first census conducted by William the Conqueror at the end of the eleventh century. Heaven and Hell and Judgement day attributes were tied to this DOmesday Book tally that was primarily organized for land and taxation purposes. So one finds these minstrels or free spirits playing their songs and plays throughout Cheshire and eventually Lancashire County in these years following 1216.Well up into the 1500s and beyond, thus creating this roving artistic environment. The Ministrel Halls was an organized census like institutions for organizing essentially the free spirits of the earth so to say, in Cheshire and Lancashire counies. Its romantic in a way that all this activity was the initiating environmnets preparing for the future arrival of the Elizabethan Eck Master. And all the spiritual activity and endeavors of the Eck Master in the 1500's. In the Book "The Final Act" The Roads to Waterloo, by Gregor Dallas. On page 241 and 240, even in Vienna in 1814 in the winter, in these European capitals, the diplomats were still arguing over calculations of the souls, the moral force indigenous to numbers of souls, particularly Saxons -( a group subdued in Cheshire possibly by William the Conqueror)---- a compilation no different than this initiating Domesday Book by WIlliam The Conqueror over 700 years later. And Free Spirit number registering by the Duttons, that is the Lords of the Minstrels, beginning in the 1216 year. On page 241 of the Dallas book the following quote: "Baron von HUmboldt was notably absent. He was at the moment agonizing over gifts of a larger nature; he had been excluded from the negotiations that had led to the creation of the Statisitcal Committee and he was very angry." This quote gives one a sense that even in the early 19th century calculation of souls was still a significant process in the diplomatic areana. Just as it had been with the Cheshire Duttons centuries earlier.

Eckankar is based on soul travel, that is the major religous task the individual does during lifetime is to send the soul with the guidance of the 'paraclete' or otherwise known as the'Eck Master' into the highest reaches of the God planes. All of current daily life is nothing but a testing of the soul, a spiritual training ground, that is trapped in the negative currents, that is the Kal power--which includes evil, bad Karma and good karma. Testing and trapping the soul for knowledge gain, and with such trapping the souls gathers knowledge on its journey back to God. Yet in the above post one finds, for example with the Creation of the Lords of the Minstrels--free spirits--that is simply souls. Souls that exist in music and sound, very much like say a soul that enters a GOd Plane in Eckankar, such a plane expresses itself as a flute, or a thousand violins, in other words music. A plane of God of music experienced by the soul upon entering such a plane via soul travel. Even more poignant, is the minstrel, music and sound playing souls they were, that is free spirits, roamed abandoned lands, that is lands that were waste lands such as Cheshire. As if the free spirited minstrels existed in music and sound, coming from the earth which the earth's status was a wasteland or wasta. A land that no longer served any further purpose for fostering future life. THis is the haunting environment of the minstrels at this time. And would be the eventual environment the Eck Master would enter into with all the information and creative force pouring from the highest realms of God, below to the ENglish people and eventually to the world itself. The whole body of Elizabethan literature is the results of the Eck master's formative presence most likely. ANd with such information, to use John Donne's analysis, the world is spent and worn out. Such is an interesting development at this time. And Shakespeare's works entered into this world. One unusual note--another rock song--WInchester Cathedral by Nancy Sinatra, is about an English cathedral associated with the DOmesday Book, and reflects another popular song in this Norman times and 'Norman invasion area' of English history, like the Led Zepplin song--Immigrant Song.

Possible correction of the above. New Vaudeville Band, I believe, did Winchester Cathedral, I could not find Nancy Sinatra doing a version of it. Whether she did, is left to contemproray music research. Yet Winchester Cathedral was associated with the Domesday Book complilation at the beginnings of Norman times in England. Its interesting nevertheless what inpires even contemporary artists, composers, as subject areas for popular songs and tunes, and when one finds medieval subjects in present day rock and roll performers, it seems somewhat interesting, why these subjects still hold significance for popular music. Even the minstrels of Cheshire county could be classified as contemporary performers, pop performers of sorts, always on tour, like present day rock and roll bands. Even though their subject areas centered around religous subjects and Christian warriors--warriors on tour say in Jerusalem during the Crusades. The ministrels of these times were interestingly associated with military invasion of lands and battlefield exploits, along with chivalrous love and religous song--an always fascinating disparate mix of subject areas indigenous to these minsterls and their genre. And free spirits as such they ahve been known as during their times and later by historians.

The following psychological phenomenon, found in simple daily life, with a lot of individuals, can be the whole essence and substance of the Shakespeare Authorship COntroversy and its resolve. On el ate afternoon, a man goes driving through the countryside and starts to return to the house that he has lived in for twenty five years. Needless to say, since the man has lived in the house for twenty five years he is fairly well familiar with the rooms and contents of the house. As the sun drops lower along the horizon, he arrives at the house and enters into its rooms. As he makes his way to the study he stops almost in a frozen manner. He simply peruses the room in a semi hypnotic like state of mind. And surprisingly finds all the articles in the room foreign, distant to the senses, alien in sensory recognition. THis seems strange, because whether looking at the books on the book shelves, paintings along the wall, or the typewriter on the table ,all these items should be familiar to the man's senses. But yet the man's mind in a contradictory sense registers the whole inner sanctum of the room as distant, and ailen. THis previously desribed psychological event is simply soul travel. A naturally occuring process of the mind that everyone experiences from time to time. And a process the Eck Master encourages and develops along the spiritual principles of Eckankar. Its sort of funny that when one considers the heart of the Shakepseare authorship controversy, one finds this simple psychological event of soul travel to be the mainstay essence of the Controversy>. And all through the Shakespeare works soul and soul travel constantly appears. In a historical era in England already known to possess a mysterious individual Maister EK. AN individual associated most notably with Edmund Spesnser whose writings began to appear earlier in the 1570's than the later Shakespeare Works. Perhaps, Maister Ek stuck his head out too soon, or should not have made his identity so notable with Spenser because of the hostile political climate extant in England at the time. And evidently went back underground in the 1590's to somewhat of extent for unknown various reasons. But nevertheless, future research can elucidate any of those suppositions more accurately. Furthermore, in regard to soul travel, the German wrod--Die Seele is synonomous with mind and soul. Both are one in the same, in the German definition status. And when considers soul travel, the phenomenon, itself, Die Seele is a good point to hold the action of soul travel, that is the mind and soul itself--- as representative by the word Die Seele.

The name Chatham, of Chatham County N.C.,is derived from William Pitt the Earl of Chatham. Known as Diamond Pitt, William came across a large diamond worth a lot of money and from his financial gain from finding the rock, he made a good deal of his fortune, that elevated him in social rank in English Society. What is i interesting is the First Earl of Chatham, William Pitt the elder was the grandson of the Governor of Madras--an area of India. So the whole Pitt legacy in English politics emerged solely from colonialization and that is the colonies of India. Remember India, which is the traditional home of Eckankar, was first explored in 1590,by the English, almost the exact same time Shakespeare's works began appearing to the English public. The Eckankar work "The Tigers Fang", involving Paul Twitchell and Rebezar Tarz, took place in Srinigar at the utmost stretches of India's national territories. These earliest beginnings of the Pitt families as colonists gave the American Colonies their utmost friend in William Pitt in Parliament. But again what is interesting about Chatham County's name, is that it is closely associated with colonial exploration, that is the exploration of new lands. And furthermore, the locale of such exploration is India, the home of Eckankar. Two interesting features that comprise the character of the name Chatham County. Either one of the William Pitts, probaby both to a certain degree were involved with such matters as the Townshend Acts--government levies as such on glass tea, possibly paper. The political negotiating of the East India Company. And involvement of the politcal ramifications of the Frensh India Company. Even William Pitt possibly had the education of some his family memebers in Holland.Or at least involvement or consideration of that country. The earliest continental refuge of William Bradford, where he worked as a fustian weaver, while planning his voyage to the New World in seeking Religous freedom from the British Isles, in 1620--was in Holland.

In regards to other themes and assertions of other posts, regarding the U.S. Navy, Secreatry of Navy, during Andrew Jackson's term as president. John Branch was the Secretary of Navy for Andrew Jackson, and John Branch was from North Carolina. The Wikidpedia entry has a lot of information on him. What is fascinating about John Branch he had an aversion to the U.S. Navy, in fact he cut resources for funding any real expansion of the Navy during jackson's tenure as president. In the 1850's Graham did the opposite, he expanded the U.S. navy, adding new technological advantages to the ships and starting the U.S. Naval Academy. During the turbulent 1850's. The Whig Party was dying out at that time in America, the Addition of the New Mexico territorise had created bitter rancour in the U.S. COngress, eventually heading the county to Civil War, Bleeding Kansas was underway, and later in New MExico the atomic era would begin in the 1940's. So this, sequence between Branch and William Graham's Secretary of Navy tenure,is a cycle. One of indifference to the U.S. Navy resources on the part of Branch, to one of the opposite on the part of Graham, later, in the 1850's. As if the time was right, for expanding the Navy under Graham. But its an interesting fact, that both Secretaries came from North Carolina, and Branch could be considered something of the nadir of energetic concern for the U.S. Navy, until an upswing in the fifties, where Grahman could be considered occupying a zenith of the Navy funding, and concerns, the top of the cycle. But the transpiring of these North Carolina participatory historical events carry with it a cyclic nature. Whether songs and poetry are known to be cyclic also, whether the Norse sagas, Kavela or Hiawatha, history appears to have its cyclic dimensions also. As evidenced, perhaps, in the two N.C. Secretaries of Navy at this juncture in 19th century America.

SilerThe Abraham Horton Jr. and Adithia Clark marriage, is an early intial historical event that brings Lewis and Clark and W.H. Harrison endeavors in connection to Chatham County N.C. Harrison, Lewis and Clark, Benjamin Harrison,John Owen"--all form a nucleus of Chatham County history.
